Campus Recreation Brand Guidelines

As a graduate assistant for Campus Recreation, I identified the need for consistency in our marketing materials to establish a strong departmental brand. Using the brand guidelines provided by East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and our unique departmental branding, this brand book serves as a comprehensive guide for our marketing team when creating materials and helps new employees understand our department's culture.

Storytelling

Road to Nationals.

This video was part of a series that was created to showcase the Wingate University national qualifying cross country athletes and served as a countdown to the NCAA Division II National Championship. With the support of my director and teammates, Wingate’s cross country marketing plan was awarded with a NACMA Bronze Award for Multi - Platform Branding Campaigns.

Becoming Monsters.

This is the first episode—of three-part documentary series—that follows the Wingate University cross country team through their COVID-19 season journey. These videos were created to connect with our audience during a time when many people felt isolated. Documenting this series also provided us, as athletes, with the motivation we needed to maintain our determination during challenging times. As an athlete, I was extremely grateful for that support.

Social Media Marketing

ETSU Campus Recreation.

Promoting over 80 events a semester, my graduate assistantship experience challenged my skills to create a brand content stategy that catered each content to a specific audience. I managed the strategic content calendar, production of the content and scheduling of the posts through FaceBook Meta Suite. To handle marketing requests from five different programs within our department efficiently, I designed and implemented a streamlined marketing submission system, significantly boosting our team's productivity.

Brand Analytics

During my master’s program in Brand and Media Strategy at ETSU, I managed multiple projects for real clients. The most challenging and rewarding project was for our "Brand Analytics and Insights" course. In a team of three, we tracked, analyzed, and reported social analytics for our client, ETSU Research Corporation. Effective communication, setting deadlines, and problem-solving were crucial to our success. Our client was pleased with our presentation and utilized the data in their strategy.
